Amazing coffee spot that is not only a Surprise-run small business, but also a “Place With a Purpose!” This place has so much character, in every sense of the word. From the boutique theme and decor, the music playing in the background, to the extra friendly staff and great coffee, every aspect of this shop is inviting and worth while. They also have several gluten free pastry option (not prepackaged) which is hard to find at any of the other coffee spots in Surprise. I purchased an Americano, a Spiced Chai Latte with an espresso shot, and a few gluten free “pop tarts” (which were so much more delicious than any pop tart I’ve had) - everything was fantastic. Lots of place to sit and hang out and enjoy your drink, inside and out. I will be back and I highly recommend giving this place a try and breaking out of the comport owned coffee shop routine!

Great coffee shop for a great cause! Love that they have tons of GF options in their case. They also have fun little toys for kids and local merchants clothes and jewelry displayed. V cool place!

Spencer's place is a coffee shop located in Surprise that employs individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They recently celebrated their 4th anniversary and opened a second location nearby as well. The front doors were wide open on a beautiful Arizona spring day, and Racquel and Heidi greeted me with big, friendly smiles. I was eyeing the pastries on the counter when Racquel started talking to me about the pop tarts. I decided to have one, and she recommended I have her warm it up. It was like eating a warm peach cobbler... comfort food. Heidi walked me through different drinks and helped me decide on one of their specials this month. The sign board of specials changes theme with each month, and being that it was April, the theme was all blue drinks in honor of Autism Awareness month. I enjoyed my berry breeze botanical with lotus natural energy and added coconut milk. It was bright and refreshing...thank you Heidi. As I was taking photos and video of the shop, Racquel continually smiled and waved. She came over to check on how I liked my order, and we got to chatting. She even walked me over to show me her portrait on the wall of staff caricature photos. Her energy was so positive and electric, and it really was much needed light in my day. The majority of the customers left with the baristas waving goodbye and saying their name. So the shop obviously has loyal customers. Raquel definitely made me feel special when I left as she remembered my name and gave me a big smile to go.

We fell in love with this shop! Karin has done a wonderful job creating a sense of community here. During our short trip, we visited 4 times and were created like old friends each time we entered. Having a daughter with Down syndrome, I appreciate seeing companies make such a difference for individuals with disabilities. The coffee was delicious as well!

The coffee, treats & service are top tier! The manager Alyssa helped me host a Caffeine & Coaching event. The team went above and beyond to make my event as amazing as possible. This place is so warm & welcoming, you won’t find a better coffee spot 💜

Do you love all things local? Are you someone who loves happy people and love to see them succeed? Is coffee and pastries your love language? If you answered yes to all then this is your place! Spencer’s place is not only a coffee shop, but a home for special needs adults to find their way in this world and more. Did I mention they have just opened a second location? I try to come as often as I can to support and have never ever regretted it. They have great indoor seating as well as outside. Cozy blankets and a fireplace in the colder months. They have coffee flights that change fairly often and I love to bring g my girls and mom friends here to try them all. The location is clean and fun. There are toys for kids, pastries from Suss Pastries a local baker and I’m obsessed with the pop tarts. Service is awesome and it’s one place that feels like home.

Just found out about this spot today. Trying to find more local coffee spots. The coffee they use is amazing. Drinks were ready super fast and there was no wait. A decent amount of space to come and hang out and talk. Staff was all overly friendly which is very nice and welcoming. It is not generic corporate script "Welcome in" without looking at you. Some wonderful people working here and a wonderful mission. Thank you for the awesome drinks and the friendly smiles we will definitely be back soon.

We found Spencer's Place after we moved to Surprise and have loved it ever since! Fantastic coffee drinks, great service, and a place to relax and recharge. We cannot say enough about it!

I had to find a place to sit so I could take a call and decided to try to Spencer's Place. The drink I ordered was seasonal and AMAZING! I had never had anything like it before and I was blown away. 30 minutes from my house but I may just have to come back for another.

My mind is officially blown!! I love coming to this place for meetings and video conferences. Because there is a separate room available for more privacy. When the weather is nice There is a nice Little place outside also to have some privacy. But this is the first time. I actually try to eat here. And the Green chili cheese. Roll was absolutely hands-down The best creation I have ever tried. Not only was it warm with just the right amount of spice but it was flaky and cheesy as well. What a genius chef that came up with this. Honestly can’t wait to try the pizza roll 🤤.
